Bioclimatic air coolers work by passing air through a soaked pad. As the water in the pad evaporates it causes a cooling effect rather like when you wet your finger then blow on it and it feels cold.

To be effective these units require a constant supply of fresh air. It is therefore best used in a room with the doors or windows open to allow a continuous supply of fresh, lower humidity air.

The amount of cooling is dependent on the room conditions. If it is a hot dry day they will cool more effectively than if it is cooler and/or more humid day.

Mastercool is easy to operate. Place cooler in room required, simply add water, plug it in and turn it on and adjust the water flow and fan speed to your desired comfort level.

Our Review: A bigger and more powerful version of the Magicool, these evaporative air coolers may not have quite the cooling capacity of a refrigerative air conditioner but they are just so easy to use anywhere in the home.  There is no elephant trunk to worry about and we thought it was lovely still being able to have doors and windows open whilst enjoying cool air.  The electricity consumption is so low it doesn't matter if you have it on all day and night and great from an environmental point of view.  We would recommend these for bedroom use, as there is no noisy compressor just the gentle hum of a fan!
